Day 8 Post Op - September 24, 2010

Josh is doing really well.  He could have gotten out of the hospital today, but he opted for one additional night.  He will come "home" (to the Radisson) tomorrow.  I am looking forward to it.

His has been a fast, uneventful recovery.  He deserved that, didn't he?

Today a lot of time was spent doing diabetes education with Josh.  There is a lot to remember, but I know he will do fine.   Hopefully his need for insulin will not be great or go on for a long time.  Time will tell.  Here he is with his diabetes educator.

Last night Janie and I ate at a place called the "Uptown Cafeteria".  It was kooky and fun.  We each had a martini which came with a little toy.

Late today Janie and I took the light rail out to the Mall of America.  Janie couldn't leave Minneapolis without experiencing that place.  It was a nice diversion.

If all goes well, we will be home in Connecticut next Thursday.  Janie leaves tomorrow; my dad comes Monday and will fly home with us on Thursday and give me a hand.

BTW, I know it's been nice back East, and I'm jealous.  It was really cold today and there was a wind warning.  Yesterday there was a flood warning.  And we think we have crazy weather!
