Surgery - September 16, 2010

I've just gotten my first update. Josh is doing great. His pancreas is out! It has been sent to the lab for retrieval of the islet cells. The doctors are working on rerouting all the various things for Josh (plumbing I call it).

The doctor says the pancreas was very small from all the scarring, it was hard and full of calcifications. It was as expected.

They also removed Josh's appendix and spleen.

I'll update later when I know more. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. It means the world to us.

    Joy joy joy!!! How is Josh doing so far? It's 5:30 here.. Are they near the finish?hopefully they got a ton of cells..better times ahead for Josh and all of you.,,
